Healthy Hot Spot: Terroir TriBeCa

In a city with more than 4,000 restaurants, I’ve always been challenged to find a good wine bar — and by good I mean one where the wine selection is as good as the food. In TriBeCa, though, I didn’t have to wander far to find just that.

Terroir TriBeCa is popular among Financial District Happy Hour goers who come in droves and while the wine menu is a bit dizzying, I’m happy to leave that to David and focus on the food which is simple and tasty.

Wooden high top tables, bench seating and low lighting offer an ideal setting to unwind after work, catch up with friends or spend a casual date night.

What We Ate: We have a few staples that we order every time we go: Calamari Salad with smoked chickpeas, olives, celery and lemon; Dandelion Greens salad with hard boiled egg, garlic and bread crumbs; Tomato, Basil and Egg Bruschetta

When We Dined: Light Dinner, Thursday

Also On The Healthy Side: Arugula Salad, Farro Salad, Pickled Veggies, Marinated Olives, Asparagus Frittata

Be In the Know: Terroir has three locations – East Village, Murray Hill and TriBeCa — each has a different menu

On any given weekend, David and I can be found at the Tribeca location enjoying breakfast after our morning workout. With locations in more than […]

I gave up my bagel and cream cheese habit several years ago. Thankfully, you won’t find that kind of deli fare on the menu at Kutsher’s Tribeca. Instead, you get a contemporary spin on Jewish American classics artfully served up (in ample portions) in a clean and modern bistro setting. Eager for a light lunch, […]

I get the Sunday Blues really bad. No matter what time of year it is, when Sunday rolls around I usually have some anxiety about the week ahead. The weather was perfect yesterday so David and I took a long walk from home in TriBeCa to Eataly on 23rd Street. Yesterday was my day off […]

I live in Tribeca, just steps away from the Brooklyn Bridge. I often run over the bridge but I can count on one hand the number of times I’ve taken a leisurely stroll over it. One of those times was earlier this month when I wanted to slow down so I spent a cold Saturday […]
