Berry Sauce for Pancakes {Recipe}

berry sauce recipe

Make this berry sauce recipe and I promise your life will be changed. Since I’ve cut back on sugar, including natural sweeteners, I no longer douse my gluten-free pancakes in maple syrup. It was kind of a bummer until I discovered this out-of-this-world berry sauce recipe.

I adapted the berry sauce recipe from I Quit Sugar and made it my own. I use this in chia pudding and in regular and overnight oats also. It’s versatile and so tasty!

Berry Sauce
Yields 2
An all-natural, sugar-free sauce for pancakes and more

Ingredients
  1. 2 cups frozen berries
  2. 1 Tbsp. (I use just a drizzle) of brown rice syrup
  3. 1/4 tsp. ground cinnamon
  4. 1/4 tsp. vanilla extract
  5. juice of 1/2 a lemon
Instructions
  1. Stir all ingredients into a sauce pan and bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer for five minutes.
  2. Store in a glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks (but it won't last that long)!
